Chaltron Systems, Inc. is looking to hire a qualified sales representative for Southern Ohio and Kentucky territory.
Chaltron is seeking an aggressive entry level or experienced outside technical sales engineer to pursue industrial and municipal accounts in Ohio and Kentucky, with a focus on Cincinnati & Dayton metro area and Kentucky. Candidate will be self-motivated with an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and great organizational skills. A technical education or background is important with an understanding of measurement instrumentation; a pre-employment technical test will be given to applicants to gain an understanding of the applicants knowledge. Related sales experience is a plus, but not necessary.
This is a full time commission/expenses based position with a large earning potential. Commission can increase with sales performance. Product training will be provided for each product line represented. Products include but are not limited to level, pressure, and flow transmitters and switches, and data acquisition systems. Target markets include but are not limited to biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, energy management, food and beverage, metal processing, oil and gas, power generation, oil refining, and water and waste water processing plants. This position may require overnight stays for sales calls.
Responsibilities:
Proactively develop new and existing client relationships
Effectively communicate with prospective and existing clients over the phone and in-person
Provide weekly call reports, list of target accounts, and quarterly product sales forecast
Generate quotations of products and services to meet customer needs
Travel to customer sites to present product offering and demonstrations
Meet quarterly sales goals, and set personal targets and goals
Setup joint sales calls with regional managers of our represented companies
Candidate will work in the office when not out on sales calls and demonstrations
Qualifications:
Must be comfortable making outbound sales calls
Must be self-motivated and well organized
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, carry demo equipment
Must be able to travel to customers sites throughout Ohio and Kentucky
Must be able to learn products and provide on-site customer demonstrations
Must demonstrate assertive and outgoing personality
Must possess a polished and professional image
Must be able to pass background check, pre-employment and random drug testing
