FLUXUS HPI Series Flow Meter

By combining the attributes of FLEXIM’s highly accurate and reliable non-intrusive ultrasonic flow measurement with temperature and, where necessary, pressure inputs, the integrated HPI flow meter is the ideal solution for hydrocarbon flow metering applications, where the fluid viscosity can significantly vary over the temperature range.

The internal HPI flow computer allows the meter to report:

  • Operational and standard (net) volume and mass flow

  • Density, API number and Specific Gravity

  • Sonic ID (for Interface Detection)

  • Liquid ID (for Fluid Identification)

  • Leak detection (data source based on multiple HPI flow meters)

FLEXIM’s HPI flow meter eliminates measurement errors associated with multiple devices at various places and provides a complete turn-key solution to your flow metering needs.

LQ500 - Microwave Density Analyzer

The Toshiba LQ500 Microwave Analyzer measurement technique is based on the way solids affect the propagation of microwaves compared to all other ingredients in the pipe, and thus, the unit is solely specific to the percent solids in the pipe.

The LQ500 has a linear output and is optimized to measure true percent total solids in your process fluid. Accordingly, an easily-repeatable measurement and excellent closed-loop control can be implemented.

The LQ500's primary use is to increase plant efficiency, improve product quality, and reduce labor and laboratory costs. It is also used for replacing high maintenance or poor performing meters such as optical, ultrasonic, nuclear, blades, coriolis, etc.

The LG500 can be used in industries such as water/wastewater, pulp & paper, food & beverage, mining, aggregate, and pharmaceutical.

PIOX® S - Concentration and Mass Flow Measurement by Ultrasound

PIOX® S is primarily used for the concentration analysis during process control, the dosing of chemicals or for overall quality control. Further applications are the supervision of crystallization or phase separation processes for a proper product identification. Alternatively, density, yield rate, Brix or other customer specific measurement values can be displayed.

Combining these features with the integrated volumetric flow measurement , the PIOX S system is capable of calculating the (concentration compensated) mass flow rate.

PIOX® R Inline Process Refractometer - Chemical Design Variant

The concentration analysis of liquid media is one of the most critical parameters for aproper process and quality control within the Chemical Industry.

By measuring the refractive index, concentration levels of many media consumed or created within the chemical and textile fiber industry, such as solvents, acids, caustics as well as other - often corrosive and toxic - intermediate and end products, can accurately be monitored and a total quality control be assured.

Both designs are highly durable against any corrosive and toxic media due to theirinternal FFKM gaskets, the media and scratch resistant sapphire optics as well as the complete separation of the sensor head from the electronics compartment.

For measuring toxic and corrosive organic as well as anorganic media, PIOX® R is offered as a fully stainless steel design variant with all wetted materials made out of grade 316 Ti / 1.4571 steel.

When dealing with highly corrosive media, such as hydrochloric, strong sulfuric or hydroflouric acid, PIOX® R is also available as a special carbon fibre reinforced PTFE design variant offering an unrivalled corrosion resistance, long term stability and reliability in such harsh environments.

Being ATEX Zone 0/1, 1 and 2 certified and available with long and short sensor heads that can be integrated into the process via DIN / ANSI compatible flange or the proprietary FLEXIM flow cell, PIOX® R is the ideal process analytical technology for a wide array of liquid media within the chemical industry.

Nivelco AnaCONT Compact pH, ORP and DO Transmitter

The AnaCONT liquid analytical transmitters are designed to measure pH, redox potential, or dissolved oxygen values of liquids and aqueous solutions.

pH measurement: Continuous measurement of acidity (pH<7) and of basicity (pH>7) in liquids can be performed by the help of AnaCONT transmitters. The necessary feeding of chemicals and other technological functions can be controlled by the processed measured values. The potential difference between the submerged measuring and reference probe generates a voltage proportional to the concentration of the hydrogen ion in the measured fluid. This voltage is evaluated by the signal processing electronic module of the
instrument. Based on the signals of the submerged probe and the temperature sensor the smart signal processing electronic module calculates a pH value normalized to 25°C and generates a proportional output signal. The long term stability and accuracy of the measurement requires a periodic calibration of the sensors using the standard buffer solutions.

Redox potential (ORP) measurement: Similarly to the pH measurement, the measurement of the redox potential is based on the potential difference between measuring and reference probes. Oxidation or reduction occurs on the platinum surface of the measuring probe. Redox potential is a parameter that indicates the sum of oxidants and reducers in the measured medium. The output signals of the probes are processed by the electronic unit and it converts them into a proportional output signal. In order to get the desired medium parameters the reduction of liquids or feeding of suitable oxidant is executed based on the formerly processed values.

Dissolved oxygen (DO) measurement: The dissolved oxygen (DO) measurement gives the quantity of dissolved oxygen gas in the liquid, in ppm or mg/l values. The sensor with oxygen-permeable membrane immersed in the liquid provides an electronic signal proportional to the oxygen concentration. The intelligent electronics calculates and transmits the DO value normalized to 25°C on the basis of the output current of the DO sensor and the potential of the temperature sensor immersed in the medium.
